Export Data

The data matrix (and trees) can be exported in a different format than Xml (trees can also be exported separately, see here). To export the data either select Data->Export... or click the Export... button at the top of the data view window. If you do this you will be presented with the following window:

The following options are available (as seen above):

  1. Export character data and trees in Nexus format - This produces a minimal Nexus file with the data and trees (with translate table).
  2. Export character data in Nexus Format - This produces a minimal Nexus file with only the data.
  3. Export character data in Phylip Format - This produces a Phylip file with only the data.
  4. Export character data in Fasta Format - This produces a Fasta file with only the data.
  5. Export trees in Nexus format with translate table - This produces Nexus file with only the trees and a translate table (this is a redundant function with exporting trees (see here).
  6. Export trees in Phylip format - This produces Phylip file with only the trees (this is a redundant function with exporting trees (see here).
